A blast of bitter cold air sent us scurrying to the florist on the corner of 22nd Street
where pure white amyrillis beckon
not to mention the gerber daisies and the orchids.
We end up with a bouquet of while lilies and some utterly out of season delphiniums (which I doubt will last) but the color is so utterly seductive.
The poor florist's cat got her tail trodden on in the proceedings and screamed blue murder but seems none the worse for wear.
