The annual cider festival is currently running in every Wetherspoons pub in the UK and this is the last weekend to celebrate lovely British ciders. I had stopped for a cheeky drink in my local Wetherspoons this week and was pleasantly surprised by the festival – a massive selection of ciders and it cost only 1.99 for three 1/3 pint ciders so that I could ‘taste’ a few and choose my favourites.
Even though there are loads of fruity and spicy flavours to choose from, there really was no contest; my favourite cider was ‘Sundown’ – just like apple juice and dangerously easy drinking at 7%! The cider festival finishes this Sunday so pick up your tasting menu in your nearest Wetherspoons and head out to the beer garden to enjoy a cider in the sunshine
