The restaurant is really huge! And what was even more impressive is that the place was completely packed by 2PM! Done up in classy wooden furnishings and marbled flooring, there's not much you can say about a five star property anyway. But even then, the restaurant is very tastefully done for a five star standard. With three different kitchens in the center of the place, and tables spread across the entire restaurant, it makes for a nice interactive buffet place for people to walk around and pick up things from various counters.
The Indian section for main course has really unconventional dishes when compared to other buffet restaurants. On an average day they will have one chicken, one fish and one mutton dish laid out, and a Paneer, Dal, a homemade style gravy dish like Chhole, Rajma, etc, some dry dishes, and a superb spread of salads, pickles, chutneys, curd and Dahi Bhalle as well. They will have your favorite Dal Makhni and Paneer dishes alright, but they will also surprise you by having a Chicken Chettinad(a South Indian delicacy), Kosha Mangsho (a Bengali star), an Amritsari fish, and other such unique dishes. Steamed rice, Veg Biryani, Chicken Biryani - they have it all. The veg section had a Palak Corn, Kashmiri Aloo, Kadhai Paneer, Rajma.
The Tuscan section has 4 veg and 4 non veg main course dishes, along with having a slow roasted lamb, a live Pasta and Pizza section, and a few starters to get you going. The meat that is slow roasted is of different kinds everytime - at times it is the shoulder of a lamb, at times the entire lamb itself, and at times the leg of a lamb. The 4 veg and non veg main course dishes had lasagna, gnocchi, veggies sprinkled with pepper, mutton in rosemary sauce, a chicken dish, fish in butter garlic sauce, various freshly baked breads(focaccia, bread rolls, etc.) that were nothing short of excellence, and a few other things that I can't remember.
The pizza wasn't loaded with cheese just to tell you how generous they are with their cheese, but was very crispy and very delicious with that smacking tomato sauce on the base. Ordered for Penne in Mixed Sauce and it wasn't as I would have loved it to be, but was nice nonetheless. The pasta for sure was al dente though. Superb lasagna!
The Cantonese section had one side of the kitchen devoted to appetizers, and the other one devoted to main course. I simply gorged on the appetizers of this one! Chicken in Coffee and Honey Sauce, Lamb Spring Rolls, Chilli Prawns, Pork Ribs, Duck, Crispy Vegetable Salt n Pepper, 3 non veg dimsums and 2 veg dimsums. The thing that took the cake away were the 6-7 kinds of accompanying dips and sauces for these appetizers. Stunning section this was for me!
Keeping in mind the winters that are already on their way, the live grill section has options with a lot of creativity and efforts put in deciding the various meats they would have. As told by the restaurant, they have really increased the spread from their summer menu to the winter brunch menu.
A 'Catch of the day' section has fresh prawns and fish for you, a live grill section is there that can cook anything from chicken, mutton, pork, sausages, veggies and cottage cheese for you in whatever marination you want, and there's a live Indian section for tikkas and kebabs. The live grill section had a gorgeous preparation of lamb done for me! The Indian section did a superlative job at the Paneer Tikka and Chicken Tikka - something you definitely shouldn't miss, specially for the delicious charred flavour!
SALADS - The salads section had apple and chicken salad, sprouts salads, beans and legumes salad, octopus salad, fish salad, a cous cous salad, and a live counter for leafy salads as well. Got myself a Classic Caesar Salad made. This one consisted of fresh juicy iceberg lettuce, chicken chunks, bacon strips, caesar dressing, and grated parmesan cheese on the top. It is hands down one of the most delicious Caesar Salads I've had. And watching the chef make it for you is another treat for the eyes!
DUCK PANCAKES - No description required here, I believe. Really awesome in taste!
LIVE CARVING STATION - The star of the Sunday Winter Brunch is the live carving station featuring Tender Lamb Leg, Slow Roasted Poultry and Herb Roasted Chicken.
Coming to the most sensational section - desserts! K3 had about 35-40 desserts on their buffet, and with a guarantee I can say that you won't find such a superlative dessert spread in any other Sunday Brunch in Delhi. Each dessert tasted not just very good, but excellent! Mango Mousse, Blueberry Mousse, Pineapple Pastry, Fresh Fruit Cake, Baklava, Blueberry Cake, Butterscotch Pastry, Apple Pie, Brownie, Tarts, Creme Brulé, Chocolate Cakes and puddings of 3-4 kinds, Tiramisu, Caramel Custard, Warm Gooey Chocolate Pudding, Chocolate Fountain with biscuits, plums, pineapples, papaya and marshmallows, 4-5 flavours of macarons, 4-5 kinds of muffins, Indian sweets like Jalebi, Kheer and Burfi, Homemade Ice-creams such as Salted Caramel, Green Tea, Belgian Chocolate, and so many more, with toppings of chocolate chip, marshmallows, brownies, oreos, nuts, milk chocolate sauce, dark chocolate sauce and caramel sauce. They also had a live counter for crepes. Had a crepe with Dark Chocolate sauce, and ditched other options like Nutella, White Chocolate and Milk Chocolate.
Come here with your family or loved one on a lazy Sunday winter afternoon, sip on your sangria, martini, mojito, wine, champagne or whatever your poison is, gorge on the live grills and feast upon the dimsums, don't count the calories and try having as much as you can from the dessert section(because sampling everything is just impossible), and have a splendid time! There's Indian and chaat for your parents and grand parents who don't like to experiment with cuisines, there's salads, grills, and soups for your health conscious family members, and there's everything that you can lay your eyes on for all those of you who come for a Sunday Brunch only to have a great time in the company of some great food.
You cannot come here once and forget about the experience, the experience will compel you to visit them again. :)
