A Splash of Rock-and-roll

By Thedesignerpad @TheDesignerPad

In this ravishing Barcelona flat, art director and interior designer Cristina Ramos has merged, together with her husband-photographer Txema Yeste, a brilliant mix of decorative styles with a beautiful dose of color and a pinch of humor. A few of the original architectural features like doors and moldings were kept in the restoration carried out nine years ago, but the jewel in the crown is the hydraulic tile flooring characteristic of Barcelona homes in the early 20th century. I love how they managed to convert each room into a unique space sprinkled with multiple influences from the 70s, Art Deco, Neoclassicism, Bohemian and Industrial styles with a splash of Rock-and-Roll–of course always keeping in mind comfort and quality.
