A Scorcher of a Barbecue! #TheCharcoalChallenge

By Mummyoftwo @RaspberryGiggle

We decided to have our barbecue today and couldn’t have asked for nicer weather!  We already had a barbecue so we were able to spend all the money on lots of food and some drink.

We invited a few friends and family and I ordered the food online to come Sunday morning so we didn’t have to face the supermarket crowds at a weekend!  I was surprised how much I was actually able to buy for £50, there was plenty to go around and we will be eating meat for the rest of the week!  We had the usual barbecue food, burgers and sausages with plenty of buns and sauces.  Oh, and not forgetting Big Mr A’s homemade kofte kebabs which he thought were the best things ever!!

I also bought some ice cream and cones for the children together with some sauces (although most of this ended up on the dog – thanks Mum!).

As it was such a gorgeous day we got out Little Mr A’s small bouncy castle and paddling pool for the children to play in.  They had a great time although by the end of the afternoon the bouncy castle had turned into the paddling pool and the pool was a big grassy mess!

So pleased that is our barbecue over with for another year, it’s such hard work being the host!  We shall be awaiting return invites from everyone else now!

A lovely time was had by all but I think some of us may pay for having too much sun tomorrow (Big Mr A and I are getting redder by the second!).
