A Sad Poetic View Of America

I found this poem on Facebook, and sadly, I think it is too true. We have become defined by our politicians, whose love of guns (and the money provided by the gun lobby) exceeds their love of people.
We used to be defined by our democracy, our generosity, and our support for human rights. That is no longer true.
