Sam had been in a hospice outside of New York City and is convinced by Reuben to go with him and a group on a trip. When they are on the trip everything is about to change when the invasion begins.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What happened on Day One when the world was put into a Quiet Place?

Well, we are about to head back to New York City and see what happened at the start of the invasion. We closely follow Sam and her cat Frodo as they battle to stay alive when everything goes crazy.

Everything about A Quiet Place: Day One will make you not want to make a noise in your seat as you watch everything unfold. We are about to head on an emotional journey with the terminally ill Sam and then Eric who appears and will not leave her. Come on we have to feel sorry for Eric right?

The thing is with this type of film it is quite difficult at times to get fully invested in a character as we never know how long they are going to last. We are given many haunting scenes which in someways manage to highlight how utterly stupid people really are! I mean come on, it didn’t take a lot to realize that the more noise you make, the less chance you have of surviving right.

Sam only wanted one last slice of pizza, and quite frankly that is something I could more than relate to and found that to be a rather excellent sub-plot but with a lot of meaning and emotion behind it, although we don’t get that full story until closer to the end. Parts were a little bit obvious on what would happen, but that didn’t make it any less enjoyable. I absolutely loved the closing scene and song choice, also showing an old school iPod makes me fully miss mine!

Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn both were very impressive in the leading roles and we wanted to see them survive and get through it all. Djimon Hounsou was the link to the films, given his chracter appearing in the second.
