A Peek From My Eggcellent Weekend

Lately, my world has been a whirlwind! I’ve been very busy and have fallen behind on a lot of personal beauty and health habits, including of course, blog postings on MFJ :). I get so upset when I fail to take advantage of the transitioning weather, because before you know it, it’ll be way too hot. This week and last, I managed to get in some quality girlfriend time, and if you follow me on Instagram, you might have caught a glimpse of one of my favorite wedding dress designers who just happened to be at a store while my girlfriend was trying on her dress.

Another friend of mine, a beauty junky like me, booked us for a mini facial from Mario Badescu at Lord & Taylor. Would you believe I live in NYC and I’ve never been to Lord & Taylor? The tourists probably know this city better than I do. I really need to take advantage of this city! Mario Badescu had a promotion in fact, free mini-facial and beauty samples to introduce customers to their products. I’ve been on the hunt for a facial sunscreen forever, so it was perfect timing for me to try their sunscreen. Of course, I’ll report back onBeauty Brands We Love!

I also managed to take advantage of a favorite childhood game, egg hunting, with few friends. Since April 1st, Faberge placed 270 eggs in the city, designed by several designers such as Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren. With your smartphone and a QR code you maybe able to find those eggs in city streets. All the eggs can be seen on display at Rockefeller Plaza until April 26 and are for auction, which you can see virtually. It was such a great idea to hop around egg-hunting with the girls.
