A jury found Anibal Solis guilty of one misdemeanor count of battery. The jury deadlocked, however, on a second count of misdemeanor battery.
Surveillance video showed Solis attack an EMT and paramedic, identified as Derek Shubin and Steve Cogle. In the video, Solis is seen marching back into the 7-Eleven, then getting into a tussle with one medic, before being restrained by another.
After Solis was let go, he turned around and went after Cogle, swinging, connecting and knocking him down.
"The jury did the right thing. No one is above the law," said Gerry Braun, spokesperson for the City Attorney's Office, which prosecuted the case.
Solis' attorney says he faces up to six months in jail, but plans to appeal the verdict.
