a New Favorite Product – Bison Balm

By Lindsayleighbentley @lindsayLbentley

Ok guys, I have a new obsession!

How can you get obsessed with a balm you ask?

Easy: when it’s awesome.

I love partnering with small companies who are committed to sustainable, healthy practices, so I was thrilled when they agreed to send me some to try out for you guys!

I love it for several reasons:

1. it’s completely pure, natural, and safe for all ages

2. it’s made by a blog reader!

3. it’s the first non-greasy balm or salve that I have come across (think Burt’s Bee’s hand salve but even better!)

4. it smells ah-mazing thanks to only 100% pure essential oils.

5. it’s great to use on hands, feet, lips, baby bottoms, anywhere!

Ingredients: 100% organic virgin coconut oil, nourishing sweet almond oil, beeswax, and healing essential oils

No nasty petroleum products, artificial anything, fragrances, preservatives, or dyes!  I mean, it doesn’t get any better than that!

I keep the lemongrass in my purse to use during the day to promote mental awareness and ward off mosquitos (double win!)

The lavender is great at night as a hand cream, but my favorite use for it is as a diaper rash ointment for Miles and Etta.  The lavender has both soothing and anti-fungal properties and the beeswax creates a natural barrier to heal those little irritations quickly.

They also have an unscented one that I used in place of Lansinoh during those first few weeks of nursing my new babe.  I now use that one as lip balm and it’s wonderful!

I am constantly working with my hands cooking, cleaning, working in the yard…and I only wear shoes when I have to leave the house so this stuff is wonderful for dry, cracked hands and feet.  It’s so pure that I don’t hesitate to use it on my kiddos for little rough patches, on their feet, or with essential oils for a little baby massage.  I’ll even dab a bit on my dog’s nose when it gets dry!

I encourage you to check them out.  They are great folks with a wonderful product!
