I love a good DIY project! Putting my personal touch on a project always leaves me with a great feeling of satisfaction. I also have a weird collection of umbrellas. It started a while ago, oddly enough, as easy as it is to lose track of an umbrella, I have managed to keep most of my favorite umbrellas for years. (I can definitely thank Crystie Nichols for helping me accomplish this feat!)
I love this simple & gorgeous DIY umbrella from Erin Loechner’s Design For Mankind. It is a great project involving stencils, use basic geometric shapes or create your own! Looks like a fun project to do solo or involve the kiddies and everyone can make a personalized umbrella!
Hand cut geometric shaped stencils and a bit of waterproof paint and you are well on your way to creating a cute little rainy day accessory!
Of course, I love that she chose orange paint for her example! Head over to Design for Mankind for the complete tutorial.
Here’s to combatting April Showers in cute, personalized style!
