A Huge Majority Says Trump's Tweeting Is Inappropriate

It's not an exaggeration to say Donald Trump loves to tweet. He thinks it gets his opinions out to the public, and has made it clear that no one is going to talk him out of tweeting. But the public doesn't like it, and they believe his use of Twitter is inappropriate for a president.
That's the opinion of 63% of Americans, while only a tiny 22% say Trump's tweeting is appropriate. And that opinion stretches across both genders, all age groups, and all races/ethnicities. Even Republicans are too thrilled with the tweeting. They are split, with 41% approving and 40% disapproving. Only the Trump voters have more saying it is appropriate than saying it's inappropriate -- and that's only by 9 points (45% to 36%).
It would be wise for Trump to stop the tweeting, especially the ones containing easily disprovable lies (which is nearly all of them). But personally, I hope he doesn't stop. I rather enjoy watching him repeatedly (and unnecessarily) shoot himself in the foot.
The chart above was made using information in a new Economist / YouGov Poll -- done on July 31st and August 1st of a random national sample of 1,500 adults (including 1,329 registered voters), with a margin of error of 3.2 points.
