A History of a Holiday in Three Sets of Images

By Xrematon @EleanorCooksey

It was Christmas time. We were due to make our escape to sunnier shores – to one of those isles off the coast of Africa – Tenerife. But the pandemic knocked back our plans again – the ninth holiday we have not been able to take all because of those deeply unmagical words: ‘due to Covid’.

So instead, I shall share the alternative adventures we experienced.

We braved going into the bright lights of the biggest city to witness strange alien floating forms in a huge hall.

We went up North to be reminded of how the top of the country used to lead and contains many fine treasures of diverse forms, in diverse media, across diverse settings.

For the final (successful) component, we descended on the south coast to experience a very different set of delights. There were fish and chips too!
