Lately, I've been watching my calorie intake. Not a diet. Just being more aware of how much I'm eating and trying to adjust it. I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but it seems I don't adjust my eating and food intake after I'm pregnant/breastfeeding. I'm not sure why.So I've been eating less lately. Also, being more aware of when I'm content after eating. And not OVER full. I think it has a lot to do with how I was raised to 'finish all that was on my plate'.
That said. I've been trying to find recipes on 'healthier' versions of what I make and eat.After nabbing some fresh rhubarb from my mom's garden, I had such a hankering for some strawberry rhubarb crisp. Yum.I figured I'd find a better recipe. Here's the one I found. From Skinny Taste.
I'll tell you right now, there was no difference in taste. Actually, it was probably better than my usual fruit crisp recipe.
And it's good without ice cream...
Or with. Though a vanilla frozen yogurt would probably be a better choice. I should probably pick some up.
