As you guys know, my main squeeze is DIY-ing handmade pieces for the home. I share the DIY tutorial + a few styled shots of the finished project-and Yahoo! But then what? What do I do with all the projects I make?
Usually, the projects really are created to be used in our home. Even when it's a contracted piece, I usually try to pick projects that I ultimately want use afterward because I find I do my best work when I know it's going to serve a function in my home.
There are definitely exceptions though-sometimes the project simply becomes a prop for other styled shoots, sometimes it gets dismantled so I can use the materials for another project, and straight up, sometimes I just give projects to friends and family if they're wild about it, but by and large we keep and use the projects in our everyday.
All this to say, I'm starting a new little mini series showing how we style our handmade pursuits in our own home. For all the fellow Bachelor fans out there, think of this series as the "After the Final Rose" to Francois Renovates. #themostdramaticseriesyet
So first up? Our living room! If you see a project you'd like to try, make sure to check out the tutorial links under each photo!
