I’m starting a new feature here at Southern Vision, to go along with other recurring posts such as All-Time Favourites, Profile, Unforgettable Scenes, He Shoots He Scores, and The Films I’m Anticipating. This feature is called A Film In Images, or more simply, Images. The idea is very simple. I present to you one of my favorite films without writing anything about them, simply presenting images from the film, and allowing you, whether you’ve seen the film or not, to judge the images and whether they are beautiful, striking, or whatever emotion they evoke from you. Keep in mind that I will only be doing this for films I consider to be exceptionally beautiful or striking in terms of imagery. Got it? Sweet. This week’s film is:
Film: Through a Glass Darkly (1961)
Director: Ingmar Bergman
Cinematographer: Sven Nykvist
