Each autumn, renowned opera company Glyndebourne visits Woking's New Victoria Theatre, bringing three world-class productions as part of its annual Tour.

For the first time this year, the company will bring to Woking the Glyndebourne Chorus Christmas Concert, a special concert of opera highlights and yuletide classics for all the family. New to opera but would like to give it a try? Or fancy a festive evening to get you in the mood for Christmas? This is the perfect event for you.

Showcasing the Glyndebourne Chorus and Glyndebourne Tour Orchestra, the Christmas Concert will be in Woking on Thursday 28 November, then at Glyndebourne on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 December. Woking is the only place in the UK audiences can catch the Christmas Concert, other than at Glyndebourne's home in rural Sussex.

The other Glyndebourne shows being performed at Woking's New Victoria Theatre that week are Verdi's ( 27 and 30 November) and Handel's Rinaldo( 29 November).

The Glyndebourne Tour was launched in 1968 by Sir George Christie, then Chairman of Glyndebourne, whose parents John Christie and Audrey Mildmay founded the Glyndebourne Festival in Sussex in 1934. The aims of the Glyndebourne Tour are to make its opera productions accessible to larger audiences and to champion new talent.

Glyndebourne Tour first visited Woking's New Victoria Theatre in 1994 and has returned every year since.

Don't miss it at the New Victoria Theatre, Woking from 27 - 30 November 2019.
