A fathers tears…
Nicola & Luke’s recent Kingston Maurward Wedding, was one of many I have covered at the venue over the last few years.
Like so many others, it had its own uniqueness. It’s own moments standing it apart and being a real reflection upon the individuals within the day.
As a photographer, walking into a familiar venue, with a more than familiar ceremony – its not a surprise that some photographers may lean towards being a little non-committal.
To me though, this is the place and the time to really start working – to be able to see fresh things, to respond and to capture them.

What is it like to be the father-of-the-bride? To walk your first born down the aisle and to perform the tradition of handing her hand over in marriage to another man?
I haven’t been there yet, I can only guess for now. Yes, I can imagine it’s a massive day, identifying with someone else, reflecting on a father’s pride and the love felt within such a landmark day.
A Fathers Tears don’t come easy, but when they do, it resonates with everyone in the room.
