Story: A Deadly Adoption starts when Robert (Ferrell) and Sarah (Wiig) lose their unborn child in an accident, which will see them take a different look on life, with Robert becoming overprotective of their daughter Sully (Lind), while Sarah buries herself in the work.

The couple look to adopt a new child with Bridgette Gibson (Lowndes) being the one expecting for them. Letting her move into their home, only for Bridgette not being everything she is first thought to be, turning the adoption into a nightmare.

Thoughts on A Deadly Adoption

ThoughtsA Deadly Adoption is a lifetime movie with big name actors in Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig, which brings us a couple that are looking to adopt a baby after losing their own, only to find themselves needing to protect themselves from a dangerous person. The idea that this is a Lifetime movie does make it all feel like a parody without aiming for the laughs, more of a self-aware film that knows certain sides of the film are farfetched. The film wants to borrow from nearly every misleading guest coming into a family’s life to give us twists, which will come from all angles in the film, never wanting to stop giving us a shock, looking for the extra drama in the film. The a-list cast do look to bring an added level of drama to the film, as you are waiting for Will Ferrell or Kristen Wiig to do something comedic in the film.

Final Thoughts A Deadly Adoption is a fun parody of the Lifetime drama movies.
