Two weeks ago we went to Printemps for an afternoon of fashion, food and festivities. Happy 150th Birthday Printemps!

I tried Caroline de Maigret's so Parisienne make-up palette at the Lancôme Pop-up store, I'm liking the subtle browns and pink blush. Mickey, Lancôme's celebrity make up artist, gave me some great make up advice, e.g blush for photos is always a + as it adds definition. Thanks to Mickey I'm going try going all Cara Delevingne on my eyebrows too. We snacked on some delicious Fauchon patiseries & macarons; the christmas special éclair - caramel and salted butter, is impossible to eat on one's own, it is very yummy but very rich...

The last part of the day was the big window reveal. The holiday themed department store windows are big event in France, and so mesmerising, this year the windows were made by Philippe Decouflé in collaboration with puppeteer and window display extraordinaire Jean-Claude Dehix. Kate Winslet revealed the windows with a rather surreal entrance of these ballerina's in sparkly tops boogying on down, unfortunately I didn't get a photo. A lovely day which ended with a spectacular view of the Paris I have come to know and love.
