A Cure For the Common Cold? #3. Don't Try This At Home, Kids

By Lwblog @londonwalks

Outside in all weathers, the London Walks guides know a thing or two about battling the common cold.
Our series continues with Katy…
Any suggestions? As London Walkers how do you combat the common cold? We want to hear your remedies! Send ‘em in to the usual address.
Here's Katy
Queen Victoria was prescribed cocaine as a cure for her colds. Then again it was by the same doctor that told Victoria it was quite possible for a virgin to get pregnant!
Best cold cure I know is fresh lemon, fresh lime, freshly ground ginger and honey all mixed together and granny would tell me to gargle a mix of TCP and water!
It is estimated that adults will suffer two to three colds per year, while children, whose immune systems are still learning to fight cold viruses, can suffer two to nine colds annually.
Katy leads the Village In Piccadilly walk on Mondays.
