A Christmas Card From London No.9 of 24 Licking the Bowl

By Lwblog @londonwalks
Every day in December 2014… A Christmas card from London.

There are two London Walks on Christmas Day! One at 11:00a.m, one at 2:00p.m. Both meet in Trafalgar Square by the tree.

The Daily Constitutional's editor Adam licks the bowl after making his Christmas cake in a picture taken by his daughter who didn't get to lick the bowl because it's bad manners and unhygienic. Double standards? Yup. Welcome to the wonderful world of bad parenting.
Adam has been baking Nigel Slater's Christmas cake recipe for 17 years. "It's not only a fantastic, fruit-heavy recipe," he writes, "but Slater is such a vivid writer. His descriptions, his back stories about his recipes just compel you you make them."

A London Walk costs £9 – £7 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com
