A Basilica in Saarbrücken

By Ingridd @cosytraveler

The last 2 days of our big summer trip, we found a hotel closer to the border with France and Luxembourg. There are a lot of interesting cities in this area and the first one we visited was Saarbrücken:

The building that really caught our attention was St. John’s Basilica. When we entered, Lars and I saw people sitting and we heard organ music playing. Our first reaction was to leave again, because we thought we were interrupting a church service, but when we didn’t see any priest, we realized there was an organ music concert going on. While Lars sat down to listen to the music, I quietly took some pictures.

The basilica dates from the 18th century and is located near a market square.
