Verdict on 97 Minutes

97 Minutes is an action thriller following a hijacked plane and the battle of what to do with it. On board, we see who is looking to gain control, while on the ground the military strategy is put into place to save potential victims.

This is a real edge-of-your-seat thriller that keeps us guessing around everything corner. However, despite this, we are left feeling flat by the outcome. As we watch most of the action, we go through the routine rollercoaster. We have the clashing military figures on the ground and a lone person trying to save the passengers. This all works well for the film, never needing to complicate anything. The real-time concept shows the dangers and threats that are being faced by everyone involved.

In the end, this doesn’t hit the true heights of many other hijack movies. However, it is tense and does keep us wanting to see more. It ends up being a great late-night thriller to keep us guessing and ready to see more.

Where to Watch: 97 Minutes is released On digitally on 10 July 2023

Final Thoughts 97 Minutes is a tense, suspenseful thriller keeping us on edge.
