Posted on the 05 July 2017 by David Mark @Ataghan_micheal
If you are like me, you heard free keyword research tools you will probably think is creepy and not free maybe I just want to push you to purchase something. we all have experience. you have nothing to worry about because these tools are free. but before I show my top free keyword research tools, I want you to keep this in mind, Is not about the keyword, having the top key phrases on your website doesn't guarantee a lot of traffic.

Let me break it down for you

Step 1: Content Not Keyword

A lot of people don't really understand how this keyword research thing work, they believe having the top key phrase on their website will generate a lot of traffic because that is what they read online. if you go to Google and search for keyword research tools, you will get a bunch of results and if you click any of those websites they are full of affiliate link prompting you to buy something in other for them to make money. they don't really give the full detail how you can rank your content in other to generate traffic.

maybe is not one of their business, and that is the reason why after spending a whole day doing your research you still don't rank high or get any traffic.

let me tell something

after doing your research, you need to provide quality content relevant to that specific key phrases, just because your keyword as 100,000 monthly searchers do not means you will get a bunch of traffic if you use that specific key phrases, even if you don't have any idea on what to write about it, hire someone to do the writing for you for a few penny.

Is true that people are searching for that keyword but you need to provide a good content relevant to that keyword so that Google can put you on the first page.

Step 2: Rank Your Keyword On Google

After doing your keyword research and write a good content to that specific key phrases, Google will put you on the first page just to test you out, your content will rank number 1 spot in Google. if someone search for that key phrases and they visit your website from Google search result, you need to make sure your content gets them attention to stay longer on your website.

because if they visit your website and your content is not helpful, not providing the information they really want. they would bounce back like Tiger to check other results.

then from that moment, Google will bring down your content from number 1 to 3, you will keep going down until they move you to the next page.

Step 3: Out Rank Your Competitor On Search Engine

you need to learn how to outrank your competitor to get your content on the number 1 spot on Google because result on the google first page gets 80% majority of the traffic. people who use Google will hardly click on the next page.

but how do you outrank your competitor

* Download SEO Quake and install it to your browser toolbar

* turn on SEO quake

* Go to google.com and type in your keyword.

* use SEO quake to check the backlink of your competitor content in the search result then copy the article URL and go to backlinkwatch.com paste in that URL to see where they got their backlink from.

* try to get a backlink for your content from that same page and also share your content on social media.....Good Luck with that...
