Well, somehow another semester has gone by, and this past Monday marked the last first-day-of-school I’ll have in my graduate career.  It’s kind of amazing to think that just a year ago I was only beginning my journey into the world of social work, when it’s already become such an important part of my life.  I’m excited and invigorated about the classes I’ll be taking this spring, and even more excited about my upcoming graduation date this June.  After that, I wait to get a letter from Albany authorizing me to take my licensing exam, then lookforajobandweddingplandandgetmarriedandgoonmyhoneymoon!  Whew.

This is most definitely not the end of the line for me education-wise; there are all kinds of lectures, seminars, certifications and classes I’ll take once I am a practicing Licensed Master of Social Work.  LMSW has a nice ring to it, no?  For now, though, I’m looking forward to getting back into school + work mode, sponging up the wealth of information my peers, colleagues, supervisors and professors have to offer.  I feel so lucky to have found a career I’m passionate about… even if it took a few tries to get here.

On the blog front, I have a few things I’m looking forward to sharing with you- and no, this is not about to become a wedding diary.  Unfortunately, as you can see above by the “Auto Draft” title, I’ve been having some technical difficulties with both my software and computer.   Days before my semester was due to start, my 2008 Mac finally died.  A new one is ordered but won’t be in until next weekend, but I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll be able to use Ecto (aka my favorite blogging software) again!
