What is the Difference Between a Nursing Bra and a Regular Bar?
If you haven’t ever seen a nursing bra, they are very similar to a regular bra with the exception of the snap that allows you to unclip the bra and expose your nipple so that you can feed your baby without taking off your bra or undressing. You want to choose a bra that leaves you with plenty of extra room to accommodate your growing boobs especially once your milk comes in. Don’t be surprised if your boobs grow 1 to 2 cups sizes as your milk comes in or if your boobs end up engorged.
When Should I Buy A Nursing Bra?
I highly suggest that you wait until your are towards the end of your pregnancy to buy a nursing bra unless your regular bras no longer fit you. If you do buy a nursing bra early in your pregnancy, I suggest buying a bra that is bigger than your normal size so that you have plenty of room for your boobs to grow into the new bra. Buying a nursing bra too early in your pregnancy may result in the bra being too small for your once your baby is born. You can buy bra extenders at the craft store which can help your normal bras last a bit longer too.
