The weather in the spring is utterly unpredictable. Some days are super warm while others are frigid. It isn't until about May when we start to get a little bit of consistency. This can make dressing for the season a bit tricky. Luckily, clothing is not the only way we can embrace spring. We can also do it with our makeup. Here are some makeup trends you must try this season.
Bright Eyeshadow
The 80s are back when it comes to fashion, but also when it comes to makeup. While neon green eyeshadow might not be the move for a day at the office, it is fun to play around with your makeup looks on the weekend. Bright eyeshadows are a great way to give your looks a pop.
Bold Eyeliner
It's not just eyeshadow that is having fun, it's eyeliner too. Take your cat eye to the next level with a bold blue or white! If you want to get really creative (and have a steady hand) try graphic liner!
Glass Skin
Glass skin has nothing to do with makeup and everything to do with skincare. It is not new in the Korean beauty community, but its popularity continues to grow amongst Americans. It's an extensive process, but yields amazing results. The road to glass skin is as follows: double cleanse ( oil cleanser then foaming), exfoliate, toner, mist, serum, sheet mask, eye cream, and finally face cream.
You could skip makeup or be very minimalist. You should either go foundation free or use one that is not matte and has a dewy finish. Play up your brows, lashes, and use just a lip balm or gloss.
Vivid Lips
Vivid lips are nothing new for spring, but should included all the same. This year try oranges, corals, and hot pinks.
Overall Glow
Unlike glass skin, this glow should be deliberate. Use gold tones on your lids, cheekbones, and even lips. Your face should pick up light every time you turn it.
Extreme Metallics
Don't just wear metallic eyeshadow, kick it up a notch with glitter. Glitter is the perfect way to elevate your eye looks, Try this on your next girls night out.
Bushy Brows
So, this trend is unfortunately not for everyone. It's kind of one of those things you have or you don't. If you have naturally bushy eyebrows I encourage you to skip your next wax, threading, or tweezing session. If you're skilled you can fake it with makeup though!
PS - Stick to simply enhancing your natural brow shape if you're not great at doing your brows. Overdrawn brows can look really bad very quickly if not done with a certain amount of precision.
