By Alex

Phuket is a town located in the south western part of Thailand, near the sea. There are so many Phuket tourist attractions that it is hard to decide which ones to do. However, the following is a list of things to do in Phuket.

Wat Chalong

Wat Chalong is a very popular Buddhist temple located near the town. Thousands of people visit Phuket town attractions for religious as well as sightseeing reasons. Architecturally this temple is one of the most beautiful in the country. The famous pagodas are covered in broken glass, which glitters during day time. On days where festivals happen at Wat Chalong, we will be able to see lots of street food Phuket, serving all of the amazing dishes of Thai food. This temple is considered to be the spiritual center for southern Thailand, therefore automatically making it one of the most important attractions for locals and foreigners alike.

Phi Phi Island

Phi Phi island is not only one of the top attractions in Phuket, but one of the best area to stay in Phuket. That’s because the perfect beaches are bordered by beautiful cliffs. After all, where else can you see small hill-islands in the water near the beach itself! The most popular way to go to Phi Phi island is by boat. And as the boat approaches the island you go past these smaller islands, which is an amazing sight to behold. The combination of these two features makes it almost too beautiful to be true.

What’s more, some of the best luxury hotels in Phuket are located here. What Phi Phi island is most famous for is its quiet and laid back attitude. After a day of fun and frolicking on the beach, its time to hit the bars and shops, and there are many to choose from. Some of the most popular Phuket bars can be found here. If I were to do a romantic dinner in Phuket, this is the place it would be.

Amazing Point of Views

Phuket is not only about great food, beaches, and monuments. There is also a fair amount of hiking and viewing opportunities also. The east side and west side of Phuket offers some amazing views of sunrise and sunset. One of the most popular locations for this is Promthep Cape. Once I arrive here I can enjoy great views of the ocean almost all the way to Phi Phi Island! Other very popular viewing areas are the Three Beaches hilltop area, Panwa, and Kata viewpoint. Other ways I could enjoy the views on offer is by taking a boat ride and cruising around the islands.

No visit to Thailand is complete without at least a quick walk around at some of the famous streets. And this is also true of Phuket. The most famous street in Phuket to experience a vibrant nightlife would have to be Bangla Road. At night time all traffic is halted and the street essential becomes a half a mile long party! The sight and sounds are nothing like we have ever seen. What is cool about all the bars is that there are either outdoors or with an extended open area. Food prices in Phuket and Bangla road, in particular, is very reasonable. We can find leaflet distributors, salespeople of all types, and street performers, all hawking their wares, which makes strolling all the more fun.

If boating, beaches, bars and nightlife are not the thing then taking a trip to the old part of town may be the best option. Old Phuket Town has a lot of architectural sights which are influenced by European and Chinese styles. While there I can also eat at some of the TripAdvisor Phuket restaurants.
