5,500-Year-Old Stone Age Axe Found in Denmark

The axe was found only 12 inches below the surface and researchers assumes that the age was purposely placed as a part of some kind of a ritual.  The ongoing excavation in the island of Lolland will continue for another year or so, and we will definitely get to see some more amazing discoveries along the way.
