Maybe you’re not supposed to be blogging right?, you assume that it’s not the right part for you to build your future because nothing seems to be working for you even after you’ve applied all the tips you’ve been introduced to on the internet on how to build a popular blog. Right now, you just want to throw away your laptop and go get a job at least, you’ll be sure of your pay check at the end of every month whether good or bad.
If any of these sound familiar to you then I have good news for you. I want you to understand that you’re not alone on this in fact; I abandoned my blog for two good years without looking back until I realized what I was doing wrong which is same thing I will share with you here. Do I hear you say Amen?
First of all, I want you to realize that the problem is not from you and if you must know that you’re one of the smartest bloggers on the internet and you sure can also build a very popular and successful blog if that’s what you really want to do.
Are you wondering what then the problem is? OK, I will tell you now. Like I said earlier, the problem is not about you, it’s from your approach. The problem is that you’re doing everything the wrong way and in the wrong order… No BS.
With that out-of-the-way, I will not reinvent the wheel here instead, I want to give you a big, juicy list of the little things I’ve learned along the way to being a blogger people want to associate with. So, let’s quickly get to it.
Use the Tips Below To Become a Blogger Everyone Wants to Associate With
-
Be Humble:
One of the things that I’ve discovered that is similar to majority of the successful bloggers on the internet is humility. Even though they’re obviously smart but, you will never see them boasting about it.
They let their work speak for itself than shamelessly self-promoting. I’ve seen so many bloggers that are very arrogant and so full of themselves and when you come close to them, you’ll realize that they really have nothing to offer hence, the saying that “An empty vessel makes the loudest noise”.
As blogger who want people to associate with him, you need to be modest, you need to come down to earth and attract people to yourself first. I’m always cautious of bloggers who only appear on Facebook or Twitter only when they have their own work to share. It just gives me the impression that they are very selfish.
One of the ways to showcase your humility as a blogger is to always accept your own mistakes and be willing to accept criticism. I’ve been criticized a countless numbers of times in the past, I’ve once been called a scammer too and I’m sure you might have had similar experience but what matters is how you approaches such issue. No one is perfect and if you see yourself as “Mr. knows it all” then I’m afraid because, you will not go far.
As someone that is humble, you must also always respect other people’s opinion, you shouldn’t always have the final say. Develop a listening ear too. God gave us two ears and one mouth so that we will always listen more than we talk.
The moment you start seeing yourself as the alpha and omega, someone whose words will always be the best then, people will start running away from you and with time, you will tarnish your reputation on the internet.
It is very important to know that you’re also human who is prone to mistakes sometimes. Address your readers problems wholeheartedly and always be willing to give a helping hand to bloggers who are still struggling to get to where you are, your readers will love and respect you for that.

Associate With Other Bloggers:
This is very important. If you want people to associate with you as a blogger then, you must first learn how to associate with others.
In blogging, one of the major mistakes we always do while starting is that, we often tend to think that we can do it all alone on our own and that is the reason most people usually fall off the ladder in no distant time.
If you want to succeed at blogging and become popular and someone people will always want to recommend to others then, reaching out and connecting with other bloggers is not a choice but a must…Period. I can go ahead and say that again:
To succeed in Blogging, reaching out and connecting with other bloggers is never a choice but a must.
If you’ve been blogging for some time now and you’re still struggling to build a sizable blog audience then maybe you ignored this step when you started.
Just like every other thing in life, blogging has some stages and roadmaps and if by choice or accident you jumped any of it then, you might need Gods intervention to make it. As a new blogger, you’re still a stranger in the blogosphere, no one knows about you and that is why you need to get yourself noticed first before any other thing.
You might think that getting yourself noticed is by publishing lots and lots of blog posts on your blog as some of the “Fake Expert Bloggers” might have advised you to do but, that’s where you got it all wrong.
How many blog posts are on your blog? What difference has it made on your blog since you started?
Let’s face it this way, how many people will hear your voice if you just walked into an empty room where not even a single person is inside and start shouting on top of your voice? See what I mean?
According to Chris Garret, getting links, finding guest bloggers, being introduced to business opportunities, it is all about networking and creating relationships.
You need the bloggers that are already successful and have achieved what you’re aiming for to help get the word out about you.
There are so many ways to go about this and the simplest way is by commenting on their blogs and sharing their blog posts with time, they’ll get to notice you especially when you always leave relevant comments.
But one of the most effective ways of doing it is via guest posting. Yes, that is by publishing good blog posts on their blog and in so doing, you’ll be able to siphon a portion of their audience to yourself. This is a no brainer.
Guest blogging is becoming the norm in the blogging world even though some people still doubts its effectiveness and that is because they might have done it the wrong way. If you want to learn how best to guest blog and how it can help your blogging business, I’ll suggest you check out the 2 blog posts below.

The bottom line is to start building connections with other bloggers today if you’re not doing it yet. Don’t only focus on the most successful bloggers, you should also connect with both newbie and intermediate bloggers and that’s by commenting and sharing their blog posts.
-
Be Generous:
This is similar to the number 1 above. One of the best ways through which you can get anything you want in life is by being generous. You need to practice generosity in order to become a blogger that is worthy of association.
There are so many ways through which you can demonstrate this including by commenting on other bloggers works, sharing their blog posts and not yours alone, helping any blogger who is worthy of your assistance, by just giving out in general.

Do you have a tip that someone else might benefit from? Don’t keep it to yourself, share it with others. You can just write an ebook about it and sell it to others, they’ll learn the tips and you’ll also make money from it which will be a win-win for everyone.
-
Be Yourself:
You need to develop your own voice in the blogosphere, you mustn’t follow and practice what everyone else is saying for you to become popular.
For you to really become a blogger that people always talks about, you need to always convey your personality on your blog and let it shine via your writing. I’m not asking you to reinvent the wheel here, what I mean is that you should develop your own unique angle.
When you’re writing about any topic, you mustn’t just quote everything you see on the internet about that topic exactly the way they’re, you need to have your own voice flow through the post. Let it not be the same type of tips anyone can find somewhere else, make the tips your own and that is by approaching it from your own unique style.

Don’t be a Cheap Blogger:
How do you usually know the cheap bloggers? I think it’s simple. Check out their blog and you should be able to spot it.
They love everything free and if it’s not free or very cheap then, they won’t go for it. One of the things that will kill your career as a blogger is being perceived as someone who is cheap or a freebie chaser.
If you want your readers to respect you then, you should be willing to invest on your blog. You need a good premium theme, you need not go for the free hosts out there or even the cheap ones because, it will bring down your blog to its knee sooner or later.
Search the web and you will see lots of good hosts you can use on your blog, this will give your readers a good user experience and save you from lots of troubles.
When I started blogging, I made the mistake of using one of the cheap hosts on the internet and my blog later got hacked, that opened my eyes and I had to wise up.
Conclusion:
Blogging has opened doors for many people and the truth is that these people does not have any magic wand or are luckier than you are, they’re just following some basic and fundamental principle to make it work for them.
Therefore if you must also enjoy the enormous benefits that come with blogging then, you need to also master these principles and practice them. You don’t need to follow everything you see on the internet verbatim, the best thing is to figure out what makes each strategy work and then see how it can also work for you.
It’s not a rocket science even though we all know that it’s not easy but with a dedicated spirit and hard work, you can surmount all the hurdles and create a successful blog in any niche of your choice.
