Although somedays I am still running around like a chicken with my head cut off, I typically have my ducks in a row before I leave the house, and this makes it a heck of a lot easier to get where we need to be on time.
I've listed a few quick tips you can do to make your life (and everyone else's life) a lot easier when you're in a rush and have somewhere to be.
1. Have your purse/bag packed: I always leave the diaper bag packed and stocked with diapers, wipes, etc near the front door and ready to go. Sometimes, it's even great to have a second diaper bag in the car for the extra crazy days. If it's already in there and packed, you can't forget it. This also goes for purses, briefcases, book bags, etc. Have your things packed the night before you need to be somewhere and you won't be rushing to do that and get yourself ready for the day.
2. Pre-prepare breakfast: I know, you're in a rush so you didn't have time to eat breakfast. But who needs breakfast anyways, right? WRONG. Breakfast is THE most important meal of the day; it not only jump starts your metabolism but it gives you the energy you need to make it through the morning. Pre-load the coffee machine, cut up fruit at the beginning of the week, and stock your freezer with items such as these Jimmy Dean Delights. I picked these up at Walmart the other night and they are super quick and easy for the girl on the go. Plus, they're all under 300 calories and packed with protein. Who doesn't love a low-cal breakfast?!

3. Lay out your clothes… and a backup choice: I have a bad habit of trying on a billion different outfits before I can leave the house. I feel fat, it doesn't fit right, something wasn't clean, etc. To avoid this, lay out the outfit you would like to wear and then have a backup one right next to it. This way, you can save time and energy trying to throw something together last minute.

4. Give yourself enough time: Sometimes that snooze button can do us dirty; we think we are allowing ourselves an extra ten minutes of sleep and then it turns into thirty. Try to avoid the snooze button if it all possible. If you must snooze, set your alarm earlier to begin with. By giving yourself enough time, you will avoid the stress of being late and then in turn, forgetting to do/bring things you need to before leaving the house.
5.Prepare for hiccups: I sometimes lose my patience when I'm trying to leave and all of a sudden, someone needs a diaper change, or fed, or can't find their favorite toy. You think I would learn to accept these things are going to happen but nope, I still freak out. But they always happen so instead of losing my cool, I need to prepare for them and just accept them. This goes back to #4… allow yourself plenty of time to accommodate these hiccups!
We can't control everything around us and sometimes, we just have to roll with the punches. But by preparing as much as we can, it will make our lives a heck of a lot easier. Good luck!
