… about the Zayan the Label show at Fashion Forward.
OK so we thought we’d dedicate our final post on Fashion Forward (so much to tell you and so little time!) to the little things you may have missed at the show!
1. The collection featured signature and totally awesome fabrics exclusive to Zayan the Label. The “kiss it better” embroidered lip print, neon lace, metallic and confetti speck rafias, and “sweeping swallow” tulle cutouts being standout motifs this season!
If you look closely at the guipure lace in nude and black, you can see lips and birds :)
2. The girls all strutted out with little blinged bandages on their foreheads, signaling the collection (and Zayan’s) core message – Dream a Little. Love a Lot. And even if you get hurt along the way, that shouldn’t stop you from dreaming and loving!
3. Which is why we played Tiga’s remix of Nelly’s “Hot in Herre” - cause of the plaster reference… hehehe gedit?
4. The final long dresses, including the pretty one with all the bling, were only meant to be showpieces, but we have gotten such positive feedback that we will be producing them after all!
In fact, the neon lace one was designed specifically for Chiara Ferragni, aka The Blonde Salad, to wear to the Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience on October 10th!

5. The first song you heard, “Let’s Dream” is actually an original track, written and recorded in Dubai for the collection! This is something we do every season, so look out for our opening original track next season for AW14 :)
