5 Things That I’ve Always Wanted to Do

By Robin Salvador @vinzsalvador23

It's been a long time since I watched local television and just last night I saw this 32-second long commercial from Nescafe. In this video, they asked people to name something you've always wanted to do and all of them have different, weirdest, cool and amazing answers. In the corner of my room, I contemplated the same question - what is that something that I've always wanted to do? And what keeps me from doing it? Actually at the top of my mind, there were a lot of things that I really wanted to do. To name a few, below is my personal list of the things that I wanted to do.

Lyrical Contemporary Dance

I'm a huge fan of music. On a side note, I am an emotional person as well. I always wanted to turn my emotions into dancing, to feel the beat of every note, to make a move that expresses my feelings and to turn the message of the song into dancing.

Be Fit and Healthy

I can finally cross this out on my list but I think it's best to include it since this is a continuous activity. After so many months of trying to start and go to the gym and to run every morning or every other day, I'm now in the process of accomplishing this plan. Three weeks ago, I bought new running shoes and I started to run every evening. In the first two weeks I finished 2KM, and on my 3rd week I saw the progress because I can finish up to 5KM. With regards to my plan of going to the gym, the last day was my official first day of training and it was not that easy because of intensive training. I am determined to continue all of these and I believe that with the right amount of discipline and passion you can finish what you have started.

1000-KM Biking

I have no idea how far can I go in this 1000KM biking but this is one of the things that I really want to accomplish. With my athletic heart I know I can do this; but of course before I accomplish this, help me get my own bicycle and please include a blue helmet.

Get a hug with Allysa Valdez of Ateneo

January 2013 Season 75 of UAAP - I met and got a hand shake with Allysa Valdez of Ateneo after their game during the Elimination round of UAAP. It was my very first time to watch volleyball in live action and I don't have any idea how big the volleyball and UAAP was that time. I just accompanied my friend who is a sister to one of the players of Ateneo. Thanks to my friend who introduced Allysa to me. Today, I regret that I didn't grab that opportunity to ask for an autograph or take a selfie with my Allysa. When the time comes and we have the chance to meet again, I'll never let that special moment just pass by. I'll definitely hug or even kiss Allysa Valdez and die.

Go to Baguio and Sagada

Two weeks ago I watched "That Thing Called Tadhana" starring Angelica Panganiban and JM De Guzman and aside from the beautiful cinematography I fell in love with the places where they shot their main scenes which is in Baguio and Sagada. My plan is that by the end of 2015, I should be able to visit to these places already and if it is God's will to be with her also.

These are some of my simple ideas in my list of the things that I've always wanted to do. How about your own list? Feel free to leave a message and let's talk about it.
