5 Super Cool Image Apps That May Tickle Your Fancy, and They’re FREE

By Yourfamilysurvivalcoach @shari_brewer

If you’re a bit of an iGeek like me, the hunt for new apps becomes a little like a sport … an extreme sport, at that. There’s a huge thrill that comes from sourcing fun new playthings for your iPad or iPhone. Better still are those that are free for the taking. Gotta love a nil outlay!

1. Caption + for Instagram – FREE

An app that allows you to type – or handwrite captions on your photos before importing and sharing via Instagram. Nice and at the price, worth installing and having a play!

2. Camera Awesome – FREE

This camera app is a must for anyone like me who relies on the iPhone to be not only a communication tool but also the camera that is always on hand and available. Lots of functionality here and the  feature I love most is the multiframe setting.  Super quick, super clear and super good value.

3. Video Star – FREE

Are you a wanna be rock star? Maybe you’re the household’s Singstar champ, ready for some new action? This is THE app to make you a star … of your own film clip. Sing along to a song from your playlist, film your performance on your iOs device and use the app to create your video. Why, yes there is YouTube uploading built in … lucky don’t you think? (Maybe this should have a don’t drink and upload warning??)

4. Scrap it HD – FREE

Digital scrapbooking on the go with photo effects, text editing, layering and a fun interface to boot! Extra digital elements to embellish and decorate are available via an in-app purchase. Fun stuff for photo sharing.

5. InstaMessage – Post Text Messages on Instagram – FREE

There’s a lot of fun to be had playing with this app. Type a message, select a background and then share with your pals via Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. Alternatively you can email your creations or save to your camera roll. All good and some cute things can be created here. There’s a reasonable range of backgrounds available in the free version, but like many of these apps a few bucks will pay to unlock some further features.

These five image apps are all downloadable from iTunes at no cost and as far as I’m concerned you just can’t beat that for value. One of the best things about free apps is that you can ditch them with no regrets if you decide they’re not your cup of tea after a look and a play.

Have you downloaded any groovy free apps of late that you’d like to give us the heads up on? Ooooh please do tell …
