5 Links to Start with When Planning Your Wedding

No, nope, I'm not getting married, but it's like whenever I go on Facebook at least one person (per week) announces an engagement or posts pictures from weddings. What's more, a good friend of mine will get married next year so for her and everybody planning a wedding in the near future I thought of making a '5 links to start with' to get you started with the wedding preparations.
1. The Ring
Ok, so if you're actually planning a wedding, you should already have a ring. If you're still in that place between "I have no idea if he's gonna propose" and "I need to get married" then lure your special somebody into buying one of these gorgeous engagement rings here.
2. The Dress
Moving on to the dress. This has to be the most difficult decision in the whole wedding planning process. Finding the right shape to fit your body, the right color (yep! over 100 different shades), the style that suits you, madness. Here's a quick guide to picking a wedding dress and getting started, and after you can check these beautiful dresses here.
3. Beauty
This is an important step also, since you don't want to look back after 10 years on your wedding pics and ask yourself what were you thinking with that yellow make-up and nails. I know it's a personal preference and it's up to each of us to have the wedding we dreamed of but before choosing anything take a look here for some inspiration and take the picture to your hairdresser/make-up artist. If you're like to take the matter into your own hands (and you're from Germany) check out the Wedding Edition Box from Glossybox here.
4. Decorations
This is the part I love the most at weddings, the decor, it can be such a mood changer. It's not easy not to spend a fortune on your wedding, but if you feel artsy and crafty take a look here for some DIY projects (you can purchase them also) and of course the good old Pinterest which never lets you down.
5. The Cake
I have a thing for sweets. There's no way I can say no to cake, ever! I think here you should go with your personal preferences, and maybe go for fruity and fresh flavors during summer and more chocolaty ones during winter. Here's some inspiration for the design.
There you have it! 5 links to get you started in the quest for that perfect wedding. Just a heads up there are also the shoes, accessories, flowers, food and honeymoon destinations to think of. Good luck! :)
