5 Important SEO Presentations from BrightonSEO 2014

Posted on the 28 April 2014 by Andykinsey @andykinsey

So last week I was fortunate enough to travel to Brighton (UK) to attend one of the best SEO Conferences I know of, BrightonSEO. I attended more presentations and took part in more discussions with industry experts than I even recall.

However, today I want to share with you 5 of the most important presentations from BrightonSEO 2014 from SEO experts. Over the next few weeks we’ll be posting more about each of these presentations here and over at the RedStar Blog.

1. Need For Speed – Bastian Grimm

In the above presentation Bastian discusses how we, as website owners and developers, can really make a difference in load time of a website to improve your user experience. Combine the above information with Google, at EU Catalyst conf a few weeks ago, saying that “Every second your site takes to load you will lose 7% of conversions” this is clearly going to help you attain the goal of many more conversions.

2. Google A Predator? – David Sewell

Dr David Sewell in his presentation takes a look at how Google has become the predator having taken out the predators of the 90′s! Is Google in danger of biting its nose off to spite its face?

3. Responsive The Best For Mobile SEO? – Jose Truchado

As Director of SEO at Expedia Jose knows a few things about making mobile SEO work on a big scale, in the presentation he discusses exactly what he believes is the best solution for most businesses in 2014 for mobile SEO.

4. Checking Your Technical SEO – Pete Handley

One of the most popular presentations was made by Pete Handley, the line was out of the door and if the auditorium had been twice the size it still wouldn’t have been big enough. For something described often as “boring” by everyone at conferences it was amazing to see. There are some great tips and tools in here, so take a read.

5. Stop Your Blind Marketing – Matt Evans

In this presentation Matt discusses the in’s and out’s of the sales funnel and how to really sell your services and products.

Thats A Lot Of Data!

So, ok look that is totally an understandable view, not least as having spent a day watching these and more and talking to everyone around – more data than I know what to do with.

So if you have any questions about the above leave a comment below (yes I am using Google+ comments) and I’ll get back to you.
