Google has also added this feature in the latest Android 13, which will also be available in Android 14. This feature prevents the app from accessing your private documents. Through this feature, you will be able to select only those photos from any app, which you have selected. Other photos and documents on the device will not be accessible. Google has also rolled out this feature for older Android 11 and Android 12.

Nearby Wi-Fi devices

If there is a Wi-Fi device near your smartphone, then location tracking starts in older Android versions. Google has added Nearby Wi-Fi device runtime permission feature in Android 13 to correct this. This feature will not give location permission to the user to connect to Wi-Fi.

notification permission

In Android version 12 and below, users have to give permissions for location, camera, microphone, etc. for notifications. Users can now remove notification permissions by going to their phone’s settings. Google has rolled out this feature in Android 13.

media permission

Like notifications, in Android 12 and earlier Android versions, an app gets permission for all the media present in the device’s local storage. In Android 13 and above, users will be able to give separate permissions to each type of media. Due to this feature, the app will be able to access only the specific media files present in the phone’s storage.

Apart from this, in the new Android version, users will also have the option to remove the permission given to the app. Users will be able to access media or any other feature only if they give permission to a specific app present in the phone. These features of Android will keep users’ device safe from any unauthorized access.
