Thank you very much to Beth Webb from Is this seat take n for this review of Madison London.
Last night saw the launch of a new cocktail menu at the city-based rooftop bar & restaurant, Madison. We were invited along to test out these new tipples which have been lovingly created by new bar manager and mixologist Eduard Balan and are bound to get you in the spring mood!
One
The Roasted Pina Colada - Zapaca 23, Wray E Nephew, Coco Lopez, rice water, smoked pineapple juice
This cocktail is both fruity and refreshing and will mentally transport you to your favourite beach holiday destination before you've even had a chance to finish your glass!
Two
St Paul's Sunset - Belvedere vodka, Ratafia black cherry and red wine, pineapple tepache, vanilla, lemon, egg white
This is the standout cocktail from the new collection, garnished with an edible illustration from a tattoo artist. It's a new and edgy twist on the classic french martini and we just can't get enough of this one.
Three
Madison's G&T - Copperhead gin, pink grapefruit moisturiser, Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto, Fever-Tree citrus tonicThe G&T combo is one of the most popular out there at the moment but this zesty take on the timeless cooler is enough to get you excited for summer.
Four
Clarified Margarita - Don Julio Blanco, clear lime, CointreauThis drink was inspired by America's most popular drink but with a Madison spin on it which involves a salt spray rather than a salt rim. It makes all the difference, but beware, this is a strong one...not for the faint hearted!
Five
Citrus Mule - Cîroc™ vodka, Kalamansi juice, Citrus Oleo Saccharum, Fever-Tree ginger ale
You've most likely heard of a Moscow Mule...this is its fruitier little brother with a kick of signature ginger for good measure, this one goes down dangerously well.
And if these cocktails aren't reason enough for you to visit Madison, the view from the rooftop may help to sway your mind.
