5 From This Month | January

We're nearing the end of January now, the days are starting to feel a little longer and before we know it, we'll be in April wondering how it's Easter already! Today I'm introducing a new feature, where I talk about five things from this month. It's a bit like my monthly favourites and playlist posts combined. Let me know if you like it!
This Kate Spade diary is so lovely. I'm really glad Andy managed to pick one up for me when he was out a couple weeks ago. It felt wrong to not have a diary for this year, knowing how much I like to organize what I'm doing and of course, color code everything. (I'm aware how sad that makes me sound...)
This month I've been trying out the makeup I got for Christmas and I'm still borderline obsessed with these NARS lip pencils from their Holiday 2014 Digital World set. Descanso is the perfect everyday nude and the satin finish is just a delight to work with. I've also been really impressed with LUSH's The Kiss lip scrub, which I blogged about here.
Moving onto food.. if you've been keeping up on twitter this month you'll know about my visit to The Sausage Emporium. I'm already looking forward to going back and if you're around the Newcastle area, I urge you to get along soon. Great food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. I was sent a few boxes of Dragonfly Tea to try out and I've been really enjoying the Chai. If only I could steam milk at home to make chai lattes.
While I still adore Taylor Swift's 1989 album, Fall Out Boy have taken priority since they released their latest album American Beauty/American Psycho. My current top tracks are, Irresistible, The Kids Aren't Alright, Jet Pack Blues and Favourite Record. Sia's Elastic Heart seriously needs a mention too, it's an incredible song and you must watch the video.
Other top moments this month included; seeing the amazing LUSH Valentine's Day range, test driving cars (one in the snow) sharing this outfit post with you, receiving these boots from Ash Footwear, eating the best apple and salted caramel cake and being really impressed with the results from my fitness tests at work ahead of spinning classes that I'm starting today. I'm still incredibly inflexible, but I'm gonna maybe try some Yoga, so fire any recommendations my way!
I suppose technically that's six things this month that I've mentioned above, but who's counting?! We'll have a bonus one this month, since next month I'll no doubt complain about how much spinning hurts! What've been your favorite things this month?
