5 Cool Things From Back to the Future II That Came True in 2015

Only a few months left for the Marty McFly’s arrival on October 21, 2015. The 1989 sci-fi movie presented us with an incredible future. But, now that we have all arrived in that future, how much of Back to the Future II predictions did actually come true?

Back to the Future II made a lot of radical predictions about the future. Some of them came true, some are still in development and many others became real after getting inspiration from the movie itself. Let’s take a look.

3D Movies

Jaws never made it to its 19th sequel, thank god for that. Although, we do enjoy 3D movies everywhere today. Not only that, we are now even 3D printing stuff in Space.

Video Calls

The Internet was simply a work-in-progress during the time of this movie release, but somehow it saw video calls coming to every household in the world. Today we make video calls at no cost with a simple click of a mouse button.

Flying Cars

While we don’t see cars flying around above our houses, that day is nearer than we think because the technology is already here. Several vehicle manufacturers are now developing flying cars and have been successful in test flights, including the Terrafugia Aeromobil.

Hoverboards

After many attempts, the hoverboard concept became real just last year after the successful Kickstarter campaign for the Hendo Hoverboard.

Self-Lacing Shoes

Nike said to be still working on a self-lacing shoe concept to roll out later this year, but this other startup called Powerlace already came out with their working design (Kickstarter still in progress).
