When an email arrived in my inbox the other day asking if I'd be interested in winning a holiday to Ibiza, I couldn't click on it quick enough!
Swimwear365 are giving one lucky blogger the chance to spend 48 hours in Ibiza and throwing in some swimwear too, just for good measure. So, here's what my itinerary would look like!source- pinterest
The flight to Ibiza is pretty short, just under 2 hours from Manchester Airport (and probably only another 20 minutes or so from Newcastle). I could easily occupy myself by reading more Game of Thrones, listening to some music, looking out the window (I do love a good window seat on a flight) or I could even talk to my boyfriend who I'd take with me!
When we land, get to the hotel and drop our bags, that's when the fun begins.Ideally I'd want to spend the majority of the time exploring the Old Town. I bet we could spend hours walking around those white washed streets. Taking a little pit stop at a café for a coffee before continuing to explore.
We'd head to Punta Arabí market to look around the vintage stalls and see all the exotic jewelry and souvenirs that would make lovely gifts to bring back for my family and friends.
A late afternoon visit to Bar 1805 wouldn't go amiss. It sounds amazing with cocktails made in bird cages and pipes and other quirky items that would be a really fun way to relax for a couple of hours before a busy (and late) night!I'd really like to experience Ibiza Rocks and looking at the dates when the lucky blogger would be jetting off, it would be the perfect time to get along to the Ibiza Rocks Closing Party with Bombay Bicycle Club in San Antonio. There's a closing party after party too, so there's the night sorted! Great music, great environment and no doubt some great drinks too! All I'd need is this striped bikini, denim shorts and some converse with a light shirt layered over.I imagine the following day would have quite a relaxed start, maybe a nice breakfast and a couple of hours on one of the many white sandy beaches (seriously, get a look at them on pinterest, they're incredible!) It'd be a perfect excuse to get a bikini on. This aztec print one really fits with the festival vibe that Ibiza has whereas this black halterneck is flattering and a fail safe bikini to take. After a few hours enjoying the sun, sand and sea we'd head to Ibiza Horse Valley and go on a little trek to explore the island from another perspective. It's been a few years since I last went horse riding so any chance I get to go on a trek is greatly appreciated. I'm not sure Andrew has ever been on one, but I can't imagine he'd say no! I've read that Ibiza Horse Valley even offer half day treks so if we got up really early we could spend the whole morning exploring on horseback! With the trek over and a quick change of clothes it'd be time to check out the local bars and restaurants to pick out a good place for the evening. Andrew and I both enjoy Tapas so to experience proper Spanish Tapas in a bar in Ibiza would be great, followed by a cheese board I'd hope as I do love a good selection of cheese!
After our meal we'd watch the sunset on the beach and head back to the hotel, pack up our stuff and arrange for pick up to the airport. 48 hours in Ibiza would be a great late summer getaway for us. We're not the big party-holiday type, but I'm sure the Old Town and the relaxed lifestyle would have a certain charm.I've kept this pretty laid back as I'm sure other ideas could crop up and like when we've visited Berlin and Paris, there's always been time in our itinerary to do extra things or even change plans altogether. After all, it's a holiday and you're meant to enjoy time away! What would you do if you had 48 hours in Ibiza?
To enter the competition you need to write a blog post with your 48 hour Ibiza itinerary. The deadline is midnight 22nd August. See the terms and conditions on the website for more details. Good luck!
