40th International Emmy Awards Winners

The 2012 International Emmy Awards, hosted by Regis Philbin, announced the winners of at their 40th Anniversary gala awards ceremony held at the Hilton Hotel. Award categories include Best Performance by an Actor, Best Performance by an Actress, Arts Programming, Documentary, Comedy, Drama Series, Non-Scripted Entertainment, Telenovela, and TV Movie/Mini-Series.

Two-time Academy Award and Emmy Winner Jessica Lange presented The International Emmy Founders Award to Ryan Murphy, the creator, writer and director of television shows Glee, American Horror Story and Nip/Tuck.

After receiving his award, Murphy in turn, presented the two special 40th anniversary Founders Awards to global TV legends Alan Alda (M*A*S*H) and Norman Lear (All in The Family).

Winners spanned six countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, France, Germany and the United Kingdom, and for the first time in International Emmy history, the Best Actor and Actress winners were from the same series, Television x La Inclusion (Argentina). See all the winners below:

Telenovela Winner:
The Illusionist
TV Globo Brazil


TV Movie/Mini-Series Winner:
Black Mirror
Zeppotron Productions for Channel 4 United Kingdom

A special International Emmy Directorate Award was presented to Dr. Kim In-Kyu, President & CEO of KBS (Korean Broadcasting System) and President of the ABU (Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union), by musician/producer/entrepreneur J.Y. Park.

Several celebrities were in attendance, many of whom presented. While a few didn't photograph with the award winners, they walked the red carpet. Check out a few red carpet photos below:
