Everyday, as a part of my morning routine I launch Facebook to visit my newsfeed. Not to read my friends’ status updates or check out my family photos, but to actually read News. I liked almost all the Facebook pages from major news publishers like BBC, CNN, The Verge, TechCrunch and many more. So when I head over to my FB newsfeed, I see the latest updates from these news sites with a short summary and a photo. It’s like a more customized RSS feed, but more personalized. It’s actually even better than using Feedly. Best way to start is to start following Lists.
Turn Facebook into a Gaming Platform
Now when someone talks about playing games on Facebook, what comes to our mind are those annoying tiny games like Farmville and Candy Crush Saga that keeps sending us more and more notifications everyday. But, I’m not talking about those games. Facebook recently rolled out a bunch of console quality games, you will be amazing how good they are. Dead Trigger 2 is one of them. This game has amazing graphics and gameplay, you won’t believe its a free online game. Start searching for these games and start playing.
Turn Facebook into an Online Photo Storage
Unlike Flickr, Picasa or Dropbox, Facebook is very easy to use as a photo storage. You can make albums, type in a description, tag your friends and family for easy sharing, or even add videos, for free. And the best part is that Facebook has no limit for uploading photos. You can add as many photos as you want at 1000 photos per album.
Turn Facebook into a Dating Site
Well, I don’t encourage everyone to use Facebook this way, but if you think about it, Facebook is actually like one of the most advanced dating sites on the internet. Thanks to Facebook’s Graph Search, you can actually make a deep search to find single people in an specific area and find your perfect match by using more than 20 filters including likes, interests, work, education, and so much more. This may sound a little bit creepy, but a few of my friends actually used this methods to score dates.
