3D-Printed Raspberry Pi Laptop Raises $118K on Indiegogo

Pi-Top is a DIY 3D printed laptop kit that lets you take your Raspberry Pi everywhere you go and also learn to build laptops by assembling it yourself. Te Pi-Top kit includes an electronics breadboard, a battery, keyboard, trackpad 13.3”HD LCD Screen, Wifi adapter, all packed into an injection molded case.

Despite being powered by the world’s cheapest computer board, Pi-Top comes with a pretty expensive price tag at over $285, which actually cost way more than some Windows laptops available today. However, Pi-Top is more than just a simple laptop, its a a way to learn about the technology behind laptops. And it’s not easy to put a price on that kind of a learning experience.
