Each morning when you arise, take a moment to talk with God about the day ahead. Ask Him to prepare your heart so that you can be ready to face any challenge that comes your way. 365 Pocket Morning Prayers can guide this time of life-changing conversation and help you express your needs and concerns to God. Don’t worry about what the day will bring. Instead, release your troubles and concerns into God’s care by reading and meditating on the prayers featured in 365 Pocket Morning Prayers. Begin your day in joyful anticipation, trusting that God is in control of your life and wants only the best for you.

Right at the start of this prayer book, I knew it was going to be a perfect gift for a dear friend of mine because it starts out reminding us that “prayer is a privilege” and “prayer is personal” and “prayer is powerful”.  I say a loud and clear “AMEN” to that! I also really enjoyed the fact that the book itself is “pocket” sized (or for ladies, purse sized), and the beautiful leather bound cover was really nice too.

For me, I know I can often forget that prayer is actually a gift, a privilege given to me to come to the Lord in prayer. If I miss my morning prayer and meditation time, my day sure pays the price for that. Without getting buried down in another devotional, 365 Pocket Morning Prayers is a perfect prayer book to keep by your desk for those days when you can use just a little more strength and joy.

This “pocket book” is filled with realistic and down-to-earth struggles and feelings that most human beings can connect with. The book isn’t overwhelming and it provides encouragement to help with your prayer life.

Each day has three parts – the theme for the day, a prayer passage, and then a Bible verse that corresponds and pulls it all together that you can reflect on.  An added plus is the fact that there’s a topical index in the back so if you have certain feelings or issues one day, you can go to that page and find a specific prayer that can help guide you.  The pages are numbered 1 through 365 so you can start right in and you don’t have to wait until January 1st to start it.

With this little book, each morning when you awake, you can take a moment to talk with God about the day. You can ask HIm to prepare your heart so that you can be ready to face any challenge that comes your way.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Tyndale House Publishers in exchange for my honest review.  Thanks so much Tyndale!
