2021 Tesla Model 3 Has An 82 kWh Battery Pack: Document Reveals

Apparently, the size of the 2021 Tesla Model 3 battery has been revealed and it is an 82 kWh pack.

The Tesla Model 3 2021 or simply the refreshed variant of the electric car is finally available on the market. (rephrase) Tesla introduced a host of improvements with the latest upgrade, including the electric range, Sentry mode, new wheels and more.

With the refresh, Tesla improved the Model 3's electric range from 323 miles to 353 miles for its long-range variant.

Until now, we weren't aware of the size of the battery incorporated into the new Model 3. However, the automaker recently shared details on the 2021 Model 3 with a customer in Europe who revealed that it was equipped with an 82 kWh battery.

The document was shared by a member of r / teslamotors community on Reddit. He said the Model 3 Long Range variant and performance is on its way to Europe and it looks like they already have the new Panasonic cells.

The user was referring to the new Panasonic cells with an energy density increased by 5%.

While Model 3 is on its way to Europe, Tesla has already sent the papers to customers before delivery. The automaker did this to ensure a smooth delivery process. The same article revealed information about the size of the battery fitted to the new Tesla Model 3.

Previously, the 2019 and 2020 variants of Tesla Model 3 had a 79 kWh battery.

Although the 2021 Tesla Model 3 has an 82 kWh battery, it still uses 2,170 cells. If we talk about the recent Tesla Battery Day, Elon announced that Tesla will soon be producing new 4680 battery cells that will further improve the energy density of Tesla electric cars.
