Happy New Year!
Continuing my tradition of writing this post in 2014, followed by this one last year, I'm talking about my goals for this year - a few days later than usual, but I've taken a few days out to think about it.
Last year I wanted to travel, buy a car, spend more time with family, run 10k, say 'yes' more and get back into YouTube. I've successfully done all but one of those and I'm okay with that. YouTube takes a lot of time and work and I wouldn't want to jump into it and only make half decent content. So that's perhaps something to consider at a later date/when we have lighter nights/I have time! In terms of travelling, no I didn't get to Denmark but I did see more of the UK and spent a lot of time in Edinburgh and London.
So, onto my goals for this year:
Take Every Opportunity, Work Hard and Be HappySounds like a simple one maybe, but it's an extension of last year's aim to say 'yes' to more opportunities. If I want to do something, then I'll do it and if it doesn't turn out so well, at least I tried. You never get the same moment twice and when you think about things that way, you realize how important it is to make the most of everything.
TravelYep, adding this on for another year, though I'm not going to set a definitive list of places to visit. There's some big adventures I'd love to go on, but whether or not they happen this year is yet to be determined. Nevertheless, I will get on a plane and see somewhere new this year.
Just Do It!Not that I'm trying to quote Nike or Shia LaBeouf in that unnerving video, but just do it, whatever it is. I guess this links into my first goal, but sometimes you just have to take that first step. Whether it's sending a text, putting your trainers on and going for a run, or sitting and writing it all down to make sense of what direction you're headed in. This year I think I'd like to ring people more, because no one rings each other anymore. We live in our bubbles where we're attached to our phones checking twitter, instagram, facebook, sending iMessages and snapchats and I'm sure every now and then my friends would quite like a chat.
Be Fit (and healthy)Yep the cliché one I guess, I already eat reasonably healthy (and allow myself the odd cake - everything in moderation right) but there's always room for improvement. So along with trying to eat a bit better, I want to be a bit fitter by getting back into running, maybe do another 10k and actually getting some upper body strength this year. Will I be doing pull ups by December? - who knows but I'm gonna get this ass peachy and get back into my spinning routine, that's for sure.
Keep BloggingHello Freckles turned 2 last year and I had so many amazing opportunities through my blog. I want to make this year even better and look back on what I've shared and feel proud of my content. Here's to more outfits, beauty reviews and maybe more personal posts. I enjoy writing and want to be more creative this year, with my writing style, photography and how I piece together content.
There we go, 5 things I want to achieve this year. Of course I want to continue to spend more time with family, try new things and really make the most of my job and do my best but they're all things I should be doing anyway.
What are your goals for this year?
