2015 Awards – Best Comedy

By Newguy

Through the month of January I will be looking back on 2015, I will be looking at a range of subjects where I will be picking my best or worst in separate posts.

Today I will be look at Best Comedy

Comedy is one of my least favorite genre because I just don’t like certain types of comedy, I have picked my best from a very select group of comedies.

Mentions that could have been number one;

·   Oliver, Stoned  This is a small budget comedy that reminded me a lot of Dude Where’s My Car? A film that I enjoyed watching over and over again.

·   Burying the Ex  Follows a young man who wants to break up with his girlfriend only for her to get killed before he can do so, but she doesn’t stay dead, we have the comic mishaps as he tries to move on and keep the vengeful dead girlfriend happy.

·   The Voices  When it comes to comedy I always like something that little bit different and this offers what I am looking for in a comedy, dark and delicious from start to finish. Ryan Reynolds gives a great performance not only as the lead but as the voices of the pets.

My favourite

·   Clinger  This horror comedy came from nowhere and was the only film this year that had me laughing from start to finish, the story follows a high school guy trying to show his love for a girl who is about to break up with him when he accidently kills himself, he continues to haunt her before she has to get rid of him once and for all. The best thing about this film is every single character is funny in their own way with a blend of horror and comedy that works on so many levels.
