#2014BloggerChallenge - Topic 4 Is High End Always Better?

By Lauraoatenx @lollylovesx

High end vs Drugstore - which ones better? This is always going to be a huge debate in the blogging world. No matter what everyone is going to have their own opinion/thoughts and here's mine.
Bases & Foundations
I own both high end and drugstore foundations. I am a lover of both but I would happily choose a drugstore foundation over a high end one any day. The reason I say this is recently there have been some amazing releases in the drugstore. One of my favourites at the moment is the L'oreal Paris Nude Magique Eau De Teint. This is a great foundation for everyday - and apparently a dupe for a Georgio Armani foundation.
Eyeshadows
I am a massive eyeshadow lover. Whether its cream or powder I have them. I own high end and drugstore. My favorite at the moment is Urban Decay Naked Basics - these shadows are just great, the staying power in amazing! Although this is £20 for a palette I don't think thats too bad. Said that MUA do a great dupe for this and it's only £4.
Cheeks

I only own 2 high end cheek products and I have to say I'm not that impressed with either of them. My favorite cheek products to use, whether this be bronzer or blusher or a highlight I will always choose drugstore.
Mascara
This is an easy one! Drugstore all the way. I don't see how anyone can go out and spend over £20 on one mascara when you can pick up some great ones for under £10. The drugstore ones are amazing!
Lips
I own both high end and drugstore but to be honest I always wear my drugstore ones - no idea why though! I think you can get so many good drugstore lipsticks for under £10 there is no way you need to go and spend a small fortune - although I am lusting after a YSL lipstick, purely for the packaging (naughty).
Overall I would have to say no - high end isn't always better. In the drugstore you can find so many good products that won't cost you the earth and sometimes they are even better that the high end!
Hope you enjoyed my take on Topic 4 of the #2014BloggerChallenge, this has been the toughest one yet for me.
